MikTeX 2.8 and WinEdt 5.6

Apparently WinEdt 5.6 needs some adjustments to work with MikTeX 2.8. Here are the instructions to make them work nice together (including on Windows 7), from Yu-Sung Su's blog.

    I'm looking for help to design a 6-7 templates that emulate the New York Times front page before 1960. This includes a page size (15.5 x 22 inches), 8 cols, headers that can cross cols, links to story continuation, and lines between cols and stories within cols. I don't have a lot of $, but I can pay a bit for the help. Contact madscholar@madscholar.info.
