I spent nites on beamer (with yesterday's nite mistakenly "rsync"ed my new .tex with the old one.. badly need my own SVN repo, sigh) . I seems to like "beamerthemestree" so much.
I like it! Could you post a guide for making costume themes? And you don't need SVN (nobody needs svn) use git you can let github host your repository.
Don't go way too overboard with the eye-candy! :)
